Guides: the location stored in a photo

A photo taken with location switched on carries the coordinates of the place it was taken, accurate to a few metres, inside the file itself. These guides explain how to read that location, change it, add one, or take it out — on a phone, on a desktop, or in this browser with nothing installed.

They are written to be useful without the tool. Where a phone, a file manager or ExifTool does the job, that is what they say; where Geotager is genuinely the shorter route, they say that too, and why. The one thing they never do is claim that an operation worked without telling you how to check it yourself.
